Seattle Foot and Ankle Center Winter 2025-26 Newsletter

Dear Patients,

We wish you and yours a very happy holiday season, Merry Christmas and best wishes for a prosperous new year 2026!

1 January is the anniversary date of when Dr. Hoy purchased the practice in 2005, and January 2004 is when Dr. Hoy began working in this practice as a provider. (In 1996 he worked in this practice as its first staff member.)

Dr. Hoy will be out of the office from 24 December to 5 January. As a private practitioner, however, Dr. Hoy always takes his own call. All messages gathered from our multiple sources go immediately to the team for appropriate action.

Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 3pm with lunch from 11:15am-12:15pm. When the team is out of the office or helping another patient, Marc from My AI Front Desk, a HIPAA-compliant virtual receptionist system, takes and transcribes our calls for us. We have had the pioneering system for more than a year, and it is continuously programmed by Dr. Hoy. Marc quickly leverages inside and outside information, resources and experience to direct callers and take messages. We follow up on the transcripts as soon as possible.

We are also available via SMS text and secure messaging. The links to these can be found at the top of our website seattlefeet.com. Please reach out if you need any assistance or information. You will also find a new link there to make payments online.

The primary mode of communication utilized in this practice is secure text and email. We reach out to you through secure messaging, to which you can also respond. Please be sure to open your links promptly before they expire in 72 hours.

In our last newsletter we alerted you that our electronic medical records provider is retiring its portal, Patient Fusion. This will happen in early 2026. We used Patient Fusion primarily for online scheduling, but discovered that their replacement product FollowMyHealth did not offer online scheduling. For this reason, in November we started with another provider, Cortico, and use that along with our other existing communication methods described above. The Cortico system allows online bookings as well as management of appointments, similar to a hotel reservation system.

As the days are now getting longer, it is a good time to take care of foot and ankle problems for winter activities, or to get ready for activities in the warmer months. Schedule or manage your appointment today at https://seattlefeet.com/schedule-an-appointment-with-dr-hoy.

We continue our series of educational articles on foot and ankle health:
1. Custom Orthotics
2. Wound Care:
3. Guide to Bunions
4. Guide to Heel and Arch Pain

Tell Your Story: Many of you have shared with us about good relief for your foot and ankle condition. If your condition has been effectively helped by our practice, please consider sharing a short 30-second video testimonial about your experience. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Two questions you may wish to answer are: why did you choose us and what worked for you? Please simply record yourself on your phone and submit the file securely to Admin@Seattlefeet.com. We will then send you a release to sign so we can share the video on our websites.

Thank you very much for trusting us with your foot and ankle medical and surgical care.
