Podiatric medicine and surgery is a surgical specialty. It includes procedures in the office as well as in the hospital. Dr. Hoy attended the medical school that pioneered podiatric surgery. He is also Board Certified in Foot Surgery, having passed the toughest national guidelines in residency training, oral and written examinations, surgical case documentation, and having over a decade of experience. He performs some of the most advanced foot procedures in the finest hospitals in the Seattle metropolitan area. He also treats patients in the inpatient hospital setting.
During office consultations for surgery, Dr. Hoy will go over all treatment modalities with you and will stress conservative options first. If surgery is needed, Dr. Hoy will explain fully the technical aspects of the case, risks and benefits as well as considerations before and after the procedure. He will work with your primary care physician to have all pre-operative testing performed. You will also have good follow up after the operation. Dr. Hoy will guide you through all your questions throughout the healing process to ensure the best outcome possible.
